Okhaldhunga is a hill district in Koshi Province, eastern Nepal. Its headquarters is Okhaldhunga bazaar, in Siddhicharan Municipality. The district is the birthplace of the celebrated Nepali poet Siddhicharan Shrestha (the “Yug Kavi”), whose beloved song “Mero Pyaro Okhaldhunga” is a tribute to this very place.
