How a married woman can either update her citizenship to her husband's address/surname, or keep her father's — both routes explained.

📄 Documents to bring
- Birth registration certificate
- Marriage registration certificate
- Husband's citizenship certificate
- Father's citizenship certificate
- Ward recommendation letter from the husband's ward, if updating to his address
- Passport-size photo
🧭 Steps
- 1 If you haven't registered your marriage yet, do that first
- 2 If updating to your husband's address, get a recommendation from his ward office
- 3 Submit the application at the DAO with the documents above
- 4 Receive your citizenship certificate (new or updated) once verified
💡 Tips
- Keeping your father's surname/address is also allowed — updating to your husband's is not mandatory
- This certificate may later be needed to keep your name consistent across passport, bank accounts, etc.
