📄 Documents to bring
- Missing/lost report from the nearest police station
- Ward office recommendation letter
- Photocopy of the old citizenship certificate, if you have one

🧭 Steps
- 1 File a missing-document report at your nearest police station and get a copy
- 2 Get a recommendation letter from your ward office for a duplicate citizenship certificate
- 3 Submit the application at the DAO with the police report and ward recommendation
- 4 Receive the duplicate certificate once verified
💡 Tips
- You can still apply even without a photocopy of the lost original — the ward and DAO can often verify through family records
- A duplicate is marked as such but carries the same legal validity as the original
